Give your bot website knowledge
Research an approved public website, save cited findings, and connect those findings to customer answers.
Understand the saved copy
Website knowledge performs limited research of an approved public website and its subdomains, then saves cited findings for this bot. It is not a complete crawl or a guarantee that every page was covered. Customer questions search the saved findings rather than browsing the live website.
Only add material you have permission to research and share with the bot’s users. Do not supply confidential information. Findings are saved encrypted for the project, but the point of this feature is to use appropriate findings in customer answers.
Research and finish integration
- Ask in chat to use your public website, or open Config and expand Website knowledge.
- Enter the public URL and review the displayed research ceiling. Confirm the permission statement before starting.
- Wait for research to settle, then review the saved site, date, and citations. Avoid starting another paid attempt while a result needs review.
- Check the integration status. If knowledge is saved but integration is unverified, use Finish setup in BOTS SI where offered.
- After the checked integration is ready, publish the update and test a question covered by a cited source and a question the site does not answer.
Research and refresh charge actual usage up to the approved ceiling. Integration is a separate BOTS SI edit. Saved searches have no separate fee; AI answers, platform usage, and hosting remain billable.
Keep facts current
Refresh is manual. Findings older than 30 days are excluded, so refresh a source before relying on it again. Use the refresh action to prepare a new research request and approve its current charge. Removing a source stops using that saved source and does not refund earlier research.
If research needs review, check status before retrying. Ask the bot to admit missing evidence, especially for prices, opening hours, and policies.
